The meatballs in an omelet recipe is easy to cook and original in serving this dish. It would seem, what could be so interesting in ordinary meatballs made from meat and rice? But the method of cooking according to this recipe makes the meatballs very tasty, and their serving - wrapped in an omelet and sprinkled with chopped herbs, gives this dish a very attractive look. To cook a recipe for meatballs in an omelet, you first need to prepare minced meat for meatballs. To do this, beef and lard must be cut into small pieces and chopped in a meat grinder.
Grate the carrots on a medium grater, and finely chop the onion. Rinse rice and boil until half cooked.
Then you need to mix the minced meat, chopped vegetables, prepared rice, salt, ground black pepper, dry chopped basil and dry garlic, and then form small meat balls from the minced meat - you should get 12 meatballs.
The resulting meatballs must be fried in a pan in vegetable oil until golden brown. Then transfer the meatballs to a deep container, pour in the broth, to which you need to add tomato paste, and put in the oven, heated to 355°F (180°С) for 1 hour, so that the meatballs are well stewed.
While the meatballs are stewing, you can cook an omelet for them. To do this, lightly beat the eggs with the addition of salt, then add water and starch to this mixture, and now beat the resulting omelet mixture well.
You need to fry the omelet in a pan, in vegetable oil, as soon as the omelet can be turned over, you need to do this and fry it on the other side. Omelet for meatballs should turn out thin and plastic. This omelet dough should make 4 omelets.
When serving meatballs in an omelet, they are served in this way. An omelet is laid out on a plate, on one of the halves of the omelet - three meatballs, which can be sprinkled with finely chopped herbs, you can take any greens - parsley, dill, cilantro, celery leaves. Then the meatballs are covered with the second half of the omelet, and in this form they are served on the table.
